Description

1848 Generation 4, Malbec, Israel  Koser wine, is a deep red wine with deep hints of blueberries, ripe strawberries, licorice and notes of roasted wood. Full-bodied and powerful with a soft and long finish.

1848 Winery was founded by Yossi Shor in 2006, with the aim to  produce high quality artisan wines. This as possible for the fact that the vineyards were planted in a region with potential for production of high quality wines.

The vineyards of 1848 Winery, are in some of the premium wine growing areas in Israel specifically in Galilee Golan Heights and the Judean Hills. Alongside an experienced French winemaker. The result is fine wines, expressive and unique.

1848 Generation 4, Malbec, Israel  was  labelled in honour the family generations that came before, where the name 1848 Winery, originated.

1848 Winery has helped to Israel wines in the  world wine scene, for quality wines, creating high demand for Israeli fine wines worldwide.

For 1848 Winery, quality and sustainability are paramount. only sustainable techniques and methods that are used throughout the vineyards, in return this would minimize any unnecessary intervention during the winemaking processes, and to enhance the wines are  full of character, fruit driven, well structured and balanced.

The winery produces around 250,000 bottles a year. 1848 Winery has become one of the most exciting, pioneering artisan wine producers in Israel.

1848 Generation 4, Malbec, Israel is deep purple with roasted coffee aromas, eucalyptus, blackcurrant, raspberry, with a touch of vanilla. It is full bodied with a long finish.

The grapes are carefully selected and  undergo a gentle pressing to maintain the aromatic characters, the fermentation last about ten days, each grape variety is fermented separately in a stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature. After the fermentation process, the wine is matured for 24 months in barrels. the wine is then carefully blended to create fruit driven and complex and well structured and balanced wine.
