Château Paradis Coteaux d’Aix en Provence is a rich and intense rose from Provence. This wine offers a perfumed aromas of flowers, pear and citrus. Well balanced with red fruit flavours, a fresh acidity and a long, fruity finish. Producer Profile The vines of Château Paradis date from -600 JC. Thiéblin family owns the property from 2011. a year after purchasing Château Paradis, they decided to reorganize the vineyard and acquired further fifty hectares of additional vines in PDO, initially belonging to the Château de Fonscolombe. The appellation Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence is one of the three western Provence appellations. The characteristics of the of Aix-en-Provence, the slopes mountains are excellent to produce high quality rose wine with an annual sunshine exposure of 2,900 hours and a Mediterranean climate influenced by the Mistral, creating the perfect condition fro the grapes to ripe and developing balanced level of sugar, acidity and pH. WINEMAKING PROCESS This wine is good representation of its terroir. It is made from grapes selected from the most beautiful parcels from Paradis vineyards. All vineyards are located on the limestone soils which give this wine its beautiful characteristics profile, intense aromas and complexity, with long finish and mineral notes. WINEMAKING PROCESS In order to preserve the aromatic intensity of the grapes, the harvest is completed during the coolest hours of the night. The juicy are obtained after direct pressing. Each grape variety from each parcel are pressed and fermented separately. After alcoholic fermentation, the wines are tasted and blended for a first bottling in early December. TASTING NOTES This Rosé is elegant and juicy. intense and complex. Aromas of red fruit, followed by peach notes. Robust on the palate with generous red fruits and a nice softness. It strikes a fine balance between rich and ethereal. |
