Le Maupas Rosé, CÔTES DU RHÔNE VILLAGES,SEGURET is a fantastic choice for a rosé.

Domaine Eyguestre is a family run business which has been in the family for since 1919.
It started with Laurent’s great grandfather, Louis Bellion in 1919, then his grandfather Ismael expanded the farm further and turned it in to a mixed farming by planting cereals, olives, orchards and vines.
Laurent’s father Lucien, focused mainly on the vineyard and used to all grapes harvested  to a cooperative cellar.

In 2000, Laurent Bellion took over the family business, eleven years after, the vineyard has grown substantially under Laurent’s leadership. Currently  Domaine Eyguestre has 19 hectares of vineyards.

Séguret  is discribed as one of the most beautiful villages in the country and produces excellent wines. It is a gem among the villages of Côtes du Rhône.

The Séguret region is situated on the south of the Ouvèze river adjoining the Ouvèze valley.

The Ouvèze provides valley high variations in altitude, which has a positive impact on the grapes ripening times alongside the diverse soil types in the region, it adds a layer of finesse, complexity and balance to region wines.

This region is well known for its red wines, however rosé and white wines also have a distinctive freshness, with flavours of tropical fruit and white flowers.

This Grenache-based blend display the region terroir characteristics, this wine packed deep black fruit, superb concentration,  well balanced, soft tannins, freshness and elegance.

The vines are on average  70 years old plated on soil consisted of white clay and blue marl.

This wine is made from a carefully selected handpicked from the vineyards plots located  250 meters above sea level. To enhance further the quality of this wine a very low yield is applied, 40 hL/Ha, below the maximum yield allowed by AOC Séguret of 42 hL/Ha.

Then grapes undergo an alcoholic fermentation at low temperature, for 48 hours. then undergo an aging process in a stainless steel vats, for at least 6 months.
